Tamara is a storyteller with an eye for elegance and a taste for the unconventional. Her bold point of view blurs the lines between classic and contemporary, soulful and surprising - and she’s been redefining what luxury interiors look like ever since. Her eponymous studio, House of Honey, is a female collective of interior designers with a desire to create meaningful experiences. Growing up in Nova Scotia, Canada, Tamara always longed for a sense of the sea. That longing ultimately drew her to Montecito, where she and her family bought a home over a decade ago and have celebrated countless milestones together. They also keep a home in Los Angeles, where she raised her two children, now grown and off to college. With a background in fashion and a love of travel and art, Tamara has built a career that thrives on curiosity and collaboration. Whether working with makers, artists, or brands, she thrives on creative exchange and pushing ideas into unexpected places. Nearly twenty years ago, she founded her design studio House of Honey, which now spans studios in Montecito, Pasadena, and Brooklyn, and continues to lead the studio as Creative Director - guiding high-end residential and hospitality projects from concept through completion, curating materials and furnishings, and ensuring each story is told with purpose and personality. House of Honey embraces authentic environments that reflect both their clients and their surroundings. Telling stories that celebrate life - by cultivating and curating a sense of escape, joy, and confidence - is at the heart of their design ethos.

With studios in Montecito and Pasadena, she collaborates with her diverse team on unique projects, both public and private.
