Must/See
We asked a few people with notoriously good taste what they’re doing for LAD/W.
Who are they seeing? Where are they going? What would they be deeply annoyed to miss?
Here are their week/end plans—feel free to copy them. That’s what we’re doing.

ABOUT OME DEZIN:
Longtime friends Joelle Kutner and Jesse Rudolph founded Ome Dezin in 2020 as a design-build studio that restores character driven homes throughout Los Angeles. Kutner and Rudolph find inspiration in the city’s many architectural styles, including Mid-Century, Art Deco, Spanish, Craftsman and Tudor, and aim to preserve these codes, while imbuing each restoration with thoughtful design and contemporary livability. Ome Dezin’s design direction is grounded in natural colors and materials, creating a unique character with timeless appeal. Some of the studio’s recent work includes restoration on an original A. Quincy Jones home in Brentwood and a 1927 Tudor style cottage once owned by the burlesque star Lili St. Cyr.

ABOUT BENJAMIN & HEIDI OF MARTA:
Marta is a Los Angeles-based, globally-engaged gallery for art and design. Founded by partners Benjamin Critton and Heidi Korsavong in 2019, the gallery makes space for artists to experiment with the occasional utility of design, and for designers to explore the cathartic abandonment of function. Marta’s curatorial, publication, and event programming takes interest in the process and facilitators of a work’s creation as well as the narrative of its creator(s). Marta embraces the intersection of and the transition between disciplines, advocates for diversity across practices, and promotes broad access to the arts.
