As an approved host for LA Design Weekend, participation is completely free — and it comes with a lot of great benefits!
included on the LADW map and the schedule
name or brand name included in the zine in editorialized content (ex: in round up of group shows or chairs)*
option to manage, sell and self-upload product(s) to LADW store front (more info coming soon)
We’d love (and need) your support to help bring it to life.
Did you know that LADW is run by a group of passionate volunteers? Our goal is to increase visibility for our vibrant design community, and last year’s success was just the first taste of what we’re capable of. This year, we have even more folks coming in from around the country — both showing work and attending — and we’re welcoming our first international design brands as well.
Also — this year, we have a fiscal sponsor, so any donations or purchases can be made tax-deductible.
*to be included in the zine, hosts must have submitted to participate by July 25.
LA DESIGN WEEKEND HOST HUB
Help Us Help You!
There are a few ways you can support LA Design Weekend—whether through financial contributions or simply by being a reliable, collaborative partner.
Your involvement is key to making the weekend a success, and we’re excited to build something meaningful together.
Please take a moment to review each of the links below. If you’re a new host or missed the onboarding call, we’ve included a video walkthrough of the HOST HUB to get you up to speed.
WORKING SCHEDULE (TBC)
As you (hopefully!) know, LA Design Weekend is organized as a neighborhood-by-neighborhood progression.
Each day of the weekend moves sequentially from morning to evening, with dedicated time blocks for each neighborhood.
Here’s what to expect (a more detailed timeline is below—keep scrolling!):
The day begins at 10:00 AM
Each neighborhood will be featured during a 3–5 hour window
If your space is typically open to the public, there’s no need to adjust your general hours. However, the official LADW schedule will only list your assigned time block to preserve the event’s flow. Please ensure that any Open Studio, activation, party, or special LADW programming takes place within your designated window.
A gentle reminder: LA Design Weekend is intentionally panel- and talk-free to encourage spontaneity, exploration, and connection.
We’re so excited to bring the city to life with you!
Friday, Saturday, and Sunday will follow this progressive neighborhood schedule. If possible, we ask that you remain open on Monday for by-appointment visits to give attendees who couldn’t make it during the weekend a chance to stop by.
The More Hosts, The Better! Spread the LADW Word.
If you have neighbors who might be interested in participating, please encourage them to join! Neighborhoods are most successful when there are multiple hosts in close proximity—it helps create energy, foot traffic, and a more connected experience for visitors.
If you work out of a creative building with other studios or suites, even better—the more units that participate, the more dynamic and engaging the experience becomes for everyone involved.
