LAD/W4
Our goal is to make LAD/W accessible to organizations of different sizes.
Host registration fees are tiered based on company size and are the only required fees paid to LAD/W to participate.

For independent curators that do not fall under one of the categories listed previously.
For individual artists hosting an open studio or presenting their own work. This tier is limited to solo practices with no employees. It is not available to design studios, brands, galleries, retailers, agencies, collectives, or other businesses. Solo businesses should select the For-Profit, 1–9 Employees tier.
For galleries and other spaces interested in hosting a LAD/W Open Call exhibition at little or no cost. LAD/W will match selected spaces with an exhibition and guest curator.
There is no application fee for this option. If you later decide to host your own exhibition or event instead, the corresponding host fee will apply.
Application Terms, Conditions, & Guidelines
Who can apply?
Designers, artists, studios, stores, galleries, showrooms, architecture or interior design firms, maker spaces, creative organizations, restaurants, cafes, and others with a physical location within the official LAD/W map.
Your event must take place at a location within the mapped neighborhoods. Review the list of neighborhoods carefully before registering. Locations outside our geographic boundaries will not be included in the festival, and registration fees will not be refunded.
LAD/W reserves the right to accept or decline any application.
Registration fees
Select the tier that accurately reflects the size of your company. LAD/W may request additional payment if an incorrect tier is selected.
All registration fees are due when you apply and are nonrefundable. Submission and payment do not guarantee acceptance into the festival.
Accepted hosts will receive a separate participation agreement confirming the partnership, event details, and responsibilities.
Host responsibilities
LAD/W is a decentralized festival. Each host independently produces and operates its own event and is responsible for:
Event planning, production, staffing, and expenses
Programming, installations, speakers, demonstrations, and displays
Food, beverages, alcohol service, and any related permits
Event capacity, security, crowd control, and guest safety
Accessibility and sanitation
All required city, state, and federal permits and licenses
Commercial general liability and other appropriate insurance
Providing a certificate of insurance if requested
Access to a restroom for events larger than an open studio
Drinking water for guests
Displaying LAD/W signage onsite
Securing valuable objects and personal property
Clearly communicating and promoting the event beginning at least six weeks before LAD/W
LAD/W provides festival-wide organization, scheduling, marketing, and promotional support. LAD/W does not own, operate, staff, supervise, or control host venues or independently produced events and is not responsible for claims, damages, injuries, losses, or expenses arising from them.
Participation does not guarantee attendance, foot traffic, press coverage, placement, impressions, sales, or any other specific result.
By submitting your registration, you confirm that:
You are authorized to apply on behalf of the participating person or organization.
You have reviewed the official map and confirmed that your event location falls within its boundaries.
You understand that locations outside the map will not be included and will not receive a refund.
You selected the correct registration tier based on company size.
You understand that all registration fees are nonrefundable.
You will maintain appropriate insurance and comply with all applicable laws, permits, licenses, and safety requirements.
You have the necessary rights and permissions for all names, logos, images, event descriptions, and other materials you submit.
You give LAD/W permission to use those materials to promote, present, document, and archive the festival.
You agree to follow LAD/W’s brand guidelines when using the LAD/W name or logo.
